W1 Dead’s

Week 1. Time to start all of the cycles again. Muggy. Squished my glutes hard at the top of each rep. My pooper is sore.

Air Bike x 5 minutes

Deadlift 450 x 8 x 3r

RDL 365 x 5r - cooked. Did a couple reps of a second set and called it. Need to acclimate a bit again.

Wendler Row w/Landmine 180 x 2 x 5r

Hammer Curl w/FG 50e x 2 x 8r

W7D2. Back from holidays and in my own gym. Let's seee how it goes. Nope. I think I could've still got 102.5k easily though. I think I'll knock 5-10% off and go for a couple more cycles up.

W5 Squat

Week 5…kinda. TSE. Found out it's a 55# bar. That's another factor to making things feel so heavy last time. That and 30'C and high humidity.

Loving the hack squat.

Long drive tomorrow so I don't want to go too crazy today.

I also think the gym is way more of a social event for a lot of people.

W5D2 Press

August 2, 2023

W5D2. TSE. No good spots to setup for seated pressing so I had to go standing. Thinking my vacation in a week and a half is going to bugger up my peak for this cycle.

I think this heat is really hurting my zazz.

Standing BB Press 250 x 5 x 1r - went to the washroom after the 5th then I couldn't get my head right to lock the rest out so I stopped.

Chest Press Machine 3 plates x 3, 2.5 plates x 5 x 5r

3" Bar Tricep Pressdowns 100 x 5 x 8r - felt good. Had weird shaking though. Was feeling strong and smooth but I was just vibrating away. Must be a weird angle on the nerves.

W4 Squat

August 1, 2023

Week 4. TSE. Thigh is bruised and hurting. We'll see. Trying a different SSB as well. This one's the BoS SS3 whereas mine is a Black Widow TG. Also haven't free squatted in probably a year or better. Free squatted all of the warm ups. Knocked back my training max to 95% to ensure I can get the work in. Good and bad days.

First time trying a hack squat machine since I was probably 16. 35 years is a long enough break I guess. Good enough for some jelly legs.

Also, it's so freaking hot…

Precor Icarian Hack Squat Machine 2 Plates x 3 x 10r

EZ Curl 125 x 3 x 5r - bent bar. Wanted to roll out to my knuckles. Couldn't smoothly do 8 reppers with it.
