Afternoon
Week 8. Last workout of this 8 week cycle. Next time around I'll get outside to do some standing pressing for 8 weeks barring rain days.
Seated BB Shoulder Press
45 x 3 x 10r
95 x 5
135 x 3
155 x 6 x 5r
Spoto Press
260 x 4 x 6r
EZ Upright Row
125 x 4 x 8r
Plate Curl - I think it's been a couple of years since I've done these. It shows. When I write sets/reps out like this 5-5 means 5 right, 5 left, immediately 5 right, and then 5 left again.
25 x 5-5, 3-3, 3-3
45 Hubbing x a bunch

Oogy Deload
October 9, 2013
Noon
Still feeling like a bag of smashed buttholes and hacking my guts out. Really apparent during the squatting. Such light weight and I was sweating my guts out and huffing away. Another note is to maybe not do wrist curls between squat sets as it makes it really hard to hold the bar.
Bench Press - 135/155/195 x 5
Squat - 185/235/285 x 5
Stuff done between the core work sets:
Plate Curl - 25# x 3 x 5r
Blob Transfers - 40# x 3 x AMRAP
M. Handle Wrist Curls - 25# x 2 x 25r

Rows and a Grip Run
March 10, 2012
Well I did some back then went into a mock run of next Saturdays grip comp. I know it's probably not the best to be posting what I'm hitting right now but I'm not in contention for first anyways so I don't really care. In doing this mock run I set my timer to be doing a rep/lift every 4 minutes to try and simulate the contest pacing a bit. Everything was like that up until I had to set things out for the medley. I would've set out a lot more but I ran out of room in my little workout area.

Squats, 2HP, Blobbin' and the Red Rafter
February 13, 2012
Before Supper
1a) SSB Squat
65 x 5
215 x 5
Belt 295 x 5, 5, 5
Belt 315 x 5, 5

55 x 10
95 x 5
TnG 135 x 5, 5
TnG 145 x 5
TnG 155 x 5, 7
2) Blob Iso's x 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
3) Red Rafter Curls
15# @ 3.5" x 10/10, 10/7
Well I decided to change things up again and started using my SSB again. By the way it was hitting my quads I'm thinking it's probably more useful than the front squats for this plus looking back when my deads were climbing well I was using the SSB exclusively for squatting. I think it'll also be good just to give my shoulders a break from having the bar resting on them for the front squats.
The rest of the work felt really well. One weird thing is that I've got a strange hot spot in my left hand thumbpad for some reason. It's still there even as I'm writing this. Didn't seem to affect me so no worries.

5) Wrist Rocker
1.2# x 100 EW/BH
1.2# x 50 Ext/BH
Well I didn't have any high hopes for my shoulder pressing today. Either I slept wrong or had the bar off a tad doing front squats yesterday. I woke up at about 4:30am with my right rotator cuff just killing me. Pounded some ibu and it seemed to help but was still pretty stiff throughout the morning. Did a bunch of band work and it seems that it helped me a lot today.
Bench is still progressing well both on the medium days and the heavy so that's making me happy. Deadlift is another story. I think I just do to much work on these pressing days to have the real energy required to pull. I think on Saturdays I'll deadlift or do a variation and Wednesdays get some assistance work in.
I also recieved my package of steel and wraps from David Horne for his TORQUE!! bending list. Steel is calibrated and sold by David, thin suede (also from David) that's harder than IM pads, wraps touching, reverse in 30 seconds. I've got some 10mm bars in the batch and Christ they're big lol! I started with just one of the gr5's and I'll go for an 8mm next week.

4) Plate Curls - 25# x 10
5) Hubbing - 45# x A Bunch
This freaking illness SUCKS! I'm losing all kinds of strength and start sweating uncomfortably even with the warm-ups. Missing a lot of weight I should be getting like the presses. I was getting doubles and triples with 185 just a couple of weeks ago same as my bench dropping.
Decided to do some iso's on my blob50 and man I could really feel them. Never thought of doing them before but Daniel used them as part of his regimen to lift his Blobzilla so if they're good enough for him......
Did a quick set of plate curls, the first in ages and some hubbing which is another thing I haven't touched since Jedd's weekly competitions last summer.
