Blobbing, Squatting, Mr Saxon and Stuff

January 9, 2012

Noon
Blob work - About 4-5 iso's then some drags. Feeling strong. I know I'd better be dominating blobs if I don't want to embarrass myself to much in Arizona.

Well I pretty much slept all weekend. Saturday I was only up for a couple of hours during the day and maybe 3-4 in the evening and Sunday I slept in until 10 or so. I think all of this sleep really helped with my sickness and recovery. I'm still sick but at least I'm not hacking up a lung when I get up in the morning.

Blob work felt great and I feel confident it'll be in the air soon. I'm working with my slicker York Blob rather than the Blob50 as well.

Squats felt great. No tightness in my IT band or anything which can be an issue with me when I squat that has to work out in the first couple of sets.

Triple progression on the Saxon bar! Very happy with how my 2HP is responding. I'm really hoping to pull over 200# in March on the Euro.

The rest was just some more good work. I stopped at 4 sets rather than 5 as I felt I was done.

I'm getting pretty excited for the comp. as it's giving my training focus grip wise. I won't have a problem sneaking in all of the different lifts but I need to confirm with Aaron if the 2" V-bar is in so I know if I've got to train it as well.

  1. Jason, number look outstanding brother. 147lb DB rows?! 80+ lb reverse AXLE curls?! Needless to say I am very impressed. Keep kicking ass bro!

  2. Getting strong buddy! I have no doubt you will 200+ once you come down here. If your Saxon is anything like mine for carryover 220-225 would prolly do it.

  3. Thanks Aaron! That's about what I'm thinking to although I haven't tried my Euro at 48mm yet so my comparison is against 54mm. Hopefully there's even more carryover at this width.
